In a clear process of expanding its activities in the country and professionalizing its management, a global food company is looking for a new professional to develop improvements in its strategic planning focused on the purchasing area.
As a Senior Supply Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities related to the acquisition and distribution of materials, through the implementation of innovative tools and processes. Furthermore, your challenge will be to guide and define priorities in the sector, combined with reducing the company’s supply acquisition costs.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies, ensuring the availability of materials;
Negotiate contracts and partnerships with suppliers, aiming to obtain the best market conditions, optimize the company’s inventories and operating costs;
Maintain permanent analysis of new suppliers, with the aim of improving their ability to serve the company in products and services;
Monitor contracts for the supply of materials and provision of services, analyzing whether the contracting objectives are being met;
Develop strategic negotiations for the company, paying attention to the growth of the team’s analytical vision;
Maintain routine contact with peer areas, mainly with the industrial team;
Monitor market price developments, as well as increases/reductions in demand that may influence the supply of inputs and/or increase/reduction in acquisition costs;
Supervise inventory management, ensuring adequate levels, in addition to taking corrective actions when necessary Lead, train and develop the supply team, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment;
Set goals and objectives for the team, monitoring performance and providing continuous feedback;
Monitor the accounting entries of invoices, providing support to supply assistants who carry out their analysis and entries;
Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvements in supply processes, in order to assist in strategic decision making.
Higher education in Administration, Logistics, Engineering or related areas;
Proven experience in a leadership role in the purchasing or supply area;
Experience and Management of the Foreign Trade Area will be an advantage;
Previous experience in Direct and Indirect Purchasing Management, preferably in the food sector;
Knowledge in Strategic Sourcing is an advantage;
Essential knowledge and development of continuous improvement processes;
Advanced English and Spanish are desirable;
Mobility to live in Santa Catarina.
