Job description

In a period of constant growth in the real estate market and preparing for an IPO, a renowned company in the development and construction sector is looking for a new executive for the position of Legal Manager, with the aim of assuming management of all legal aspects of the organization, focusing on innovation and excellence.

As a leader in the area, your focus will be to lead the legal team and offer consultative, preventive and litigation support to managers of different administrative spheres, in order to support the development and implementation of legal strategies that address short and long-term objectives of business.

Main responsabilities:
  • Foster and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders in the real estate sector;

  • Actively participate in project negotiations and land acquisition, reviewing and suggesting changes to contractual clauses;

  • Provide legislative, regulatory and contractual guidance in different areas of law, with the aim of treating risks correctly, increasing competitiveness and preventing liabilities in new contracts;

  • Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks by ensuring the company complies with all applicable real estate laws and regulations;

  • Advise on the structuring of complex real estate transactions, including financing, partnerships and financial assets such as CRI;

  • Support Contract and Business Risk Managers in managing project risks and contingencies, from execution to post-delivery;

  • Develop systemic legal guidelines and evaluate impacts, alternatives and risks on the company’s products, businesses and services.

  • Acting as in-house legal counsel in companies in the incorporation segment;

  • Experience in project negotiation, people management and legal consultancy in areas such as labor, corporate, contractual and regulatory;

  • Solid knowledge of real estate law.
