Head of Construction – New Stores

Reference in its segment, a retail company in constant growth and expansion seeks Head of Works to design and manage the development and construction of new stores nationwide.

Its mission will be to manage the company’s projects from plant to inauguration, ensuring that all deliveries are made within the company’s quality, security and identity parameters.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead all processes related to construction of new stores and renovations;
• Evaluate installation of finishes, infrastructure and other items in accordance with the pre-established standard by the company, in order to ensure quality and durability of materials and structure;
• Monitoring and inspections of works, ensuring execution as per the project, performing interface between outsourced team and project team in case of revisions or adjustments;
• Ensure the execution of the projects within the expected schedule;
• Structuring and managing the internal and third-party construction and building maintenance team according to preventive and corrective maintenance routines;
• Monitor suppliers and service contracts throughout the process of works for new stores and renovations;
• Ensure emergency service to stores;
• Ensure the safety of own and outsourced employees, ensuring the use of PPE’s and appropriate tools, warning in case of non-conformities and ensuring legal compliance with technical standards of construction engineering;
• Perform the activities ensuring the approved budget for the works, seeking to link the financial results to the quality of services provided according to the contract and internal customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Civil Engineering;
• Background in management of construction and building maintenance teams;
• Experience in negotiating and managing service contracts;
• Availability for travel and alternative times;
• Mobility to reside in Porto Alegre/RS or region.
