Challenge
Faced with a complex scenario in its technology area, the company sought to speed up digitization to optimize its processes. With increasingly demanding customers and the high demand for high levels of services, there were clear opportunities for improvement in internal areas to overcome these service expectations.
In parallel, the challenge of a broader digital transformation was pressing the group for more accelerated changes both in the field of culture and new digital businesses. New customers demand ever higher levels of service, a better customer experience and products that are more responsive to their real needs.
Therefore, in order to maintain its prominent position in the market, the leaders recognized the need to rethink their current model and endorsed a more profound change.
What Evermonte did
In view of this scenario, we seek an executive to lead the technology area with soft skills aligned to the demands of the digital economy, aiming at a future expansion to a model similar to high technology companies (hybrid model of CIO + CTO).
Thus, after digitally optimizing the area, conditions would be established to move forward with the digital and cultural transformation more quickly. Based on extensive mapping, results from the cognitive assessment platform and reference checking, the finalists were presented within the agreed deadlines.
The challenge in projects of this nature is not to seek the full cultural fit, but a good cultural adaptability of the professional (a concept known as “Culture add”) in order to permanently stimulate the evolutionary transformation in culture.
In the final stage, together with our client, we built the most adherent solution for the project.
Results
After the onboarding process at the company, the new executive presented a quick turnaround plan for the operation with the most critical short-term points.
At the same time, the company maintained its investments and created a Software Engineering and Agility division, as well as Digital Products, accelerating its digital transformation plan.
Even with the advent of the coronavirus, the presence of the executive has become a crucial factor in overcoming the moment – especially in terms of infrastructure – and a key part of the company’s crisis committee.
